SIPA has over 10,000 alumni living in over 140 countries around the world. This directory has stored all the contact and degree information we have about you. (This does not include confidential information like social security number or date of birth.) All alumni (1948-2004) are here and information is password- protected on a secure server.

Only you can log in to verify/edit its accuracy and allow your classmates to view some or all of it.

The Global Connection also includes SIPA's
Alumni Career Advisory Program (ACAP),
a project of the Office of Career Services. For your convenience, we have moved ACAP into the same directory. We currently have over 1,200 career mentors volunteering.

Because SIPA students and alumni rely on other alumni for career guidance, we invite you to participate as a career mentor through ACAP. By making yourself available to current students and other alumni you can provide invaluable industry and career knowledge to those that need it the most.

Please remember:

ACAP requires a reasonable time commitment on your behalf. To ensure it stays that way, the ACAP system enables you to limit the number of times you are contacted each month.

As you change jobs and careers you can easily update your own information in SIPA's Global Connection You can use ACAP to network with your fellow alumni professionally. Use it when you plan to change cities, countries or careers.

SIPA students are eligible to log on to the Global Connection immediately using their student UNI and password. They will see information alumni have opened to students. Recent graduates can use the same UNI and password they used as students. Alumni may use the same UNI & password they set up for any other online alumni services at Columbia University

To access the directory you need your UNI -- Columbia's user name for all alumni, students and staff -- and your unique password. The UNI is usually a lowercase combination of your initials and an arbitrary number i.e. jwd123.

Don't know or remember your UNI?
New users of the University's on-line services need to activate their UNI and create a password. To request your UNI on-line visit https://www1.columbia.edu/sec/cu/alumni/alumniat/idreq.html

Already have a UNI and Password?
If you are a recent graduate who used your UNI as a student OR if you have activated your UNI to take advantage of a University on-line service like Email Forwarding, you already have a UNI and password that works. Click UPDATE INFORMATION at the top of this screen and log on to SIPA Global Connection.
